Across the Arab world, artists, writers, researchers, and cultural institutions are creating new forms of expression, generating knowledge, experimenting with ideas, and opening spaces for dialogue and imagination. Their work depends on the time, resources, networks, and institutional support that allow creative practices to develop and take shape. Your contribution helps sustain these conditions, investing in artistic agency, creativity, experimentation, and the continued development of independent cultural work.
Whether you are an individual, a company, a grant-making organization, a cultural institution, or another partner, there are different ways to support AFAC and independent arts and culture across the Arab world.
Friends of AFAC is a community of individuals committed to sustaining independent arts and culture in the Arab world. By joining, you support AFAC’s work while engaging more closely with the artists, cultural practitioners, and ideas shaping contemporary Arab culture.
Every contribution matters. A one-time gift helps expand the resources and opportunities available to artists and cultural organizations across the Arab world and supports the wider ecosystem in which their work can develop and reach audiences.
We work with grant-making institutions, companies, cultural organizations, and other partners that share our commitment to independent arts and culture in the Arab world. Partners can provide general support that gives AFAC the flexibility to sustain and develop its work; support a specific program or initiative; or sponsor and partner with us on events, gatherings, conferences, and other initiatives. We develop partnerships around shared interests and values while safeguarding the independence of our programs and grant-making.
We invite you to explore Impact & Insights, featuring stories and experiences from the projects we support and offering a closer look at the artists, cultural organizations, and practices at the heart of AFAC's work.
